Riffelhaus 1853 is located at 2,500 meters above sea level on the Riffelberg, 7 km from Zermatt. It can only be reached by the Gornergrat mountain railway, which takes 25 minutes from Zermatt. The last train leaves Zermatt at 19:24. Ski passes are available at the Gornergrat railway station.
